Education and Career in India

Education in India is composed of Pre-School, Secondary School and Higher Education.


In spite of the compulsion of Primary Education, India is still facing an Illiteracy problem. Higher Education provides the opportunity of being specialized in a particular subject.


Higher education has been developed in different ways and each way is controlled by the top body. The Ministry of Human Resource development controls it indirectly and the state government funds it.


There are some significant universities and these universities are sustained by the Union government. Private sector also has a great contribution in the Indian education system.


There are some famous institutes like National Law School in Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), The Indian Institute of Technology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Indian School of Business.


The estimation of private education in India is worth to be 40 billion USD in 2008.

It will develop to 68 billion USD by 2012. In spite of the development in investment, 35% of the population is illiterate.

There are 25% of teaching posts vacant all over the country. There are 57% of college professors who do not have either a master’s degree or PhD.


Business Management:


Business Management is the process of administering and controlling the resources under one’s control.

  • PGDBM (Post graduate diploma in business management).


Eligibility of Courses:


PGDBM:


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in any discipline acknowledged by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE
  • Must appear for the common admission test
  • Must be working in a full time job at the time of admission
  • Candidate should have 2 years work experience after graduation at any Executive level.


MBA:


  • Graduation degree or equivalent in any discipline
  • There are entrance tests like MAT (AIMA), CAT (for IIMS), XAT (XLRI); FMS, JMET (IITs and IISc); and OPENMAT (IGNO).


Engineering:
